General
How do I rent an outfit?
Once you’ve picked your outfit in the size you need, use the calendar to place your booking. Choose whether to pick the dress up at our Ocean Grove store or to have it delivered. We suggest choosing a delivery date 1-2 days prior to your event. All postage orders will include a paid post satchel for the return of the garment.

Can I try the dresses on?
Sure! If you’re a local, we have a store located at Shop 4/7 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove. Our open hours vary, and are posted on our Instagram. You can pop in when we’re open without an appointment, or contact us via DM or email to arrange a time.
How long can I hire the outfits for?
We have two options - 4 days and 6 days. If you are looking for something outside of these times please email us and we can arrange something for you.

What if my dress doesn’t fit?
Ocean Rentals does not offer refunds for change of mind or cancelled events.
If you are unsure of the dress fit, please email us and we will happily send through measurements for you.
Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the start of the hire agreement will incur a cancellation fee.
Do I have to clean the dress after I’ve worn it?
No way, Jose! We’ll take care of the cleaning for you. When you’re done, simply fold the garment and carefully seal it up in the provided express post satchel, and then drop it at your nearest Australia Post office or mail box.
What happens if I damage the outfit?
We understand that accidents happen! If you happen to damage the dress (wine stains, tearing, broken buttons etc.) please contact us as quickly as you can via email.

Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
We use Australia Post registered express post for all of our deliveries. For all garments, regardless of size, there is a flat fee of $15 for delivery. This includes a return paid satchel for the garment’s return.
How long will delivery take to get to me?
Australia Post estimates between 1-3 days for delivery, although this depends on where you are. We suggest you check with Australia Post if you’re unsure, or email us and we’ll let you know.
I need a dress last minute, will it arrive in time?
We’ve all been there! All orders placed before 3pm AEST will be posted the same day for next day delivery in metropolitan areas within Australia Post’s network. Outside of that, you can expect between 2-3 days for delivery.
Returns
What if I return my dress late?
Given the nature of our business, we rely heavily on timely returns. By returning your dress late, you’re potentially inconveniencing another customer. We have a late returns policy which can be seen here. We do have late fees which are charged daily past the end of your hire period. If you are unable to post your garment back on time, please contact us as soon as you can.
What if my hire ends on a weekend or public holiday?
Don’t sweat it! Pop it in the included return satchel and drop it into the nearest Australia Post mailbox, or to your nearest Australia Post office by 4pm the next day.
